As an ecommerce merchant, one of the most crucial decisions you’ll make is your shipping partner. You could have the best product on the market, but if it doesn’t make it to your customers quickly and in pristine condition, your business will suffer. All customers expect fast delivery, but many small businesses struggle with selecting the best fulfillment service partner for their businesses.
In this Deliverr review, we look at everything you need to know to help you decide whether to partner with this fulfillment company.
Deliverr Overview
Founded in 2017, Deliverr gives you the ability to provide affordable 2-day delivery everywhere you sell, including on your own Shopify store, or on marketplace channels like Walmart and eBay. Based in San Francisco, the company’s mission is to democratize fulfillment so that any seller can maximize sales with 2-day delivery.
Update: In May 2022, Deliverr announced they’d been acquired by Shopify. The Deliverr platform is joining the Shopify Fulfillment Network (SFN) to seriously expand Shopify’s capabilities.
Company
Through a network of warehouses, fulfillment centers, and sortation centers, Deliverr ensures that 95% of customers are eligible for two day shipping.
Its algorithm helps maximize your inventory in the right places so that you can always be sure customers receive orders fast.
The pricing model keeps products in the warehouses closest to your customers to help you save on shipping for your small business.
Create your free Deliverr account. Connect it to your sales channels. Let Deliverr know what you want to send. Then, Deliverr will tell you what to send to which warehouses. You’re free to send as much or as little inventory as you’d like. Deliverr takes over from there to pick, pack, and ship and fulfill orders to your customers.
Pricing
Deliverr has a transparent pricing structure. If you’re curious about what you’d spend with them, you can use the cost calculator on their official website.
Pricing
All costs associated with picking, packing, boxing, shipping, etc. are merged into two fees. There isn’t any setup or receiving fees. You’ll pay fulfillment and storage fees.
With Deliverr you can choose between:
- Standard Delivery (up to 5 to 7 business days)
- 3-Day Delivery
- 2-Day Delivery
Pricing starts at $3.99 per unit. They base the fulfillment cost on item size. To give you an idea of what to expect:
- Something small, like a phone case, that weighs 1.5 ounces: $3.99 per unit.
- A package of protein powder that weighs around 1.5 pounds: $5.95 per unit
- A larger item weighing 12 pounds: $10.21 per unit
- A heavier product weighing 17 pounds: $17.98 per unit
This meets or beats the competition.
What about storage costs?
Pricing starts at $0.75 per cubic foot, with fluctuations based on the season. The more space your inventory takes up, the more you’ll pay. But, you’ll also get discounts for long-term storage.
For instance, if you plan to store phone cases and take up 0.02 cubic feet, you’d pay $0.015 from January to September and $0.048 from October to December.
Or, if you plan to store protein powder using 0.07 cubic feet, you’d pay $0.051 from January to September, or $0.168 from October to December.
What about the bigger items?
A cappuccino machine using 0.62 cubic feet would cost you $0.447 from January to September and $1.488 from October through December.
A computer monitor using 1.5 cubic feet would cost you $1.08 from January to September, and $3.60 from October through December.
Once you sign up, you can import your catalog and get a line-by-line price breakdown within a matter of minutes.

Features
Fast Shipping
Deliverr’s hallmark is that it gives you a 2-day shipping badge to show on your product listings, website, and across your sales funnel. When and where possible, some customers may see 1-day shipping. Adding fast shipping tags to your products makes it easy for you to include the fast and free shipping in your product filters so people can easily see which products they can get quickly.
With the Cart Minimums feature, you can easily set a dollar amount that must be reached before the free 2-day delivery goes into effect. Below, you can see this customer has set a $49 order minimum. Deliverr claims that adding cart minimums can increase average order volume (AOV) by 12% or more.
These badges help boost conversions, putting more money in your pocket. What’s better is that you can customize the delivery badge to match your brand’s colors, and put it wherever it makes the most sense for your store.
Deliverr claims that adding their 2-day delivery badge to your store can boost sales by 44%.
Real-Time Inventory and Order Tracking
Inside the Deliverr dashboard, it’s easy to see your inventory status and order tracking information. All the systems talk to one another, so everything is updated in real-time.
You’ll be able to quickly determine how much inventory you have at each of the warehouses in the Deliverr network – and how well that inventory covers your customers for fast shipping.
Easily Allocate Inventory Across Deliverr’s Network
When you send inventory to one of Deliverr’s cross docks, the platform will automatically send the inventory out to at least four of its fulfillment centers. The idea here is to make sure the majority of your customers are covered. You won’t ever have to make sure you send enough inventory for each center – you send everything to one location and Deliverr team takes care of the rest.

There’s an open API that makes it easy for you to connect your store if you’re using something that doesn’t already have an integration.
Amazon FBA
Deliverr aims to provide Amazon Prime-like speed and great service to everyone – regardless of the ecommerce platform they use. That means it operates much like Amazon FBA. If Deliverr doesn’t work for you for some reason, this could be an effective alternative.
Rakuten Super Logistics
Rakuten Super Logistics is another option many commerce businesses choose. It may not offer super fast shipping programs like Deliverr and Amazon, but it is a fierce competitor. If you run a subscription box business, this could be the better option for you, since Deliverr doesn’t offer kitting services at this time.
